Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball head coach John Jakus spoke with the media on Wednesday about the team’s preparations for the final week of the regular season in the American Athletic Conference.

The Owls, holding a 17-13 overall record and an 11-4 mark in conference play, are set to travel to Wichita State. The matchup is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, at 4 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPNU. Florida Atlantic will finish its regular season in Wichita, Kansas.

Looking ahead, Jakus noted that this year’s American Conference Championship will take place in Birmingham, Alabama. This marks a change from previous years when the tournament was held in Fort Worth, Texas.
