Florida Atlantic University’s baseball team will begin a three-game series against Florida International University this weekend. The first game is scheduled for Friday at 6:35 p.m. at FAU Baseball Stadium in Boca Raton. The second game will take place in Miami on Saturday at 6 p.m., and the final game returns to Boca Raton on Sunday at 12:05 p.m.
The Owls currently have a record of 6-6 after being limited to four hits in a 4-0 loss to No. 9 Florida earlier this week. During that game, the FAU bullpen did not allow any runs over the last four innings.
Recent performances have highlighted several players. Brando Leroux collected eight hits over three games against Villanova, including a four-hit performance on Sunday. Brett Patten reached base four times during Tuesday’s contest with Florida. Pitcher James Litman has recorded nine, six, and seven strikeouts in his three starts so far and leads all Owls pitchers with a strike-thrown percentage of 69.2%.
FIU started its season with six wins out of seven but has since lost six of its last seven games. Against common opponents, FIU won two out of three games versus Villanova but was swept by Florida in a two-game series. The Panthers are averaging 7.64 runs scored per game while allowing an average of 8.42 runs per game.
Historically, Florida Atlantic leads the all-time series against FIU with an 85-56 record and has won seven of the last ten meetings, including three out of four matchups in 2025.
After this weekend’s series, FAU will host Presbyterian for back-to-back midweek games on March 10 and March 11.
