Florida Atlantic University’s baseball team will host Iowa for a three-game series at FAU Baseball Stadium starting Friday night. The games are scheduled for Friday at 6:35 p.m., Saturday at 4:05 p.m., and Sunday at 11:05 a.m. All matches will be streamed on FAUSports.com.

The Owls currently have a 2-2 record after splitting their opening four games. They lost two of three to Notre Dame before defeating Missouri 4-2 earlier this week. In the win over Missouri, Kide Adetuyi made his first collegiate start, allowing only three hits over 5.1 innings. Michael Perazza and Patrick Ward each contributed two hits, while Nick Romano hit a go-ahead two-run home run in the seventh inning. Kyzer Smith pitched 2.2 scoreless innings for the hold, and Bryan Boully earned his first career save.

Newcomers Perazza, Brett Patten, and Ian Collier have combined for 13 hits in 33 at-bats across the first four games, including two home runs and seven runs scored.

Among the standout performers so far, James Litman recorded nine strikeouts in four innings during last Friday’s win against Notre Dame—a personal best. Garrett Grant delivered four shutout innings in his debut on Sunday versus Notre Dame. Smith and Boully have limited opponents to just two hits over a combined 7.2 innings through five appearances.

Iowa enters the series with a 3-1 record following wins over Air Force, Northeastern, and Wisconsin-Platteville after dropping their opener to Kansas State by a score of 15-6. Senior infielder Kooper Schulte leads Iowa with nine hits in eighteen at-bats this season. On the mound, Logan Runde—an FIU transfer—pitched 5.1 innings with two runs allowed against Air Force last Saturday and is expected to start again this weekend.

Last season, Iowa finished third in the Big Ten regular season standings with an overall record of 33-22-1 and a conference mark of 21-9.

This weekend marks the first-ever baseball meeting between Florida Atlantic and Iowa.

After this series, Florida Atlantic will play Miami next Wednesday at FAU Baseball Stadium with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m.
