Florida Atlantic men’s tennis doubles team enters national rankings

The Florida Atlantic University men’s tennis doubles team of Mark Havlicek and Marek Pazdera has entered the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings at No. 82, according to an announcement on Thursday.

Havlicek and Pazdera, both from the Czech Republic, have played a significant role in helping the Owls start their season with three wins and two losses. The pair is undefeated on the top doubles court with a 3-0 record this year.

In singles matches, Havlicek holds a 4-1 record. He is unbeaten on court one (3-0) and has a split record on court two (1-1). Pazdera has won three out of five singles matches, competing across courts three, five, and six.

The Owls are scheduled to play Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), which currently has one win and six losses, on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center in Boca Raton. The match is open to spectators.

After facing FGCU, Florida Atlantic will travel to Orlando to play against UCF on February 26 and then head to Tampa for a neutral-site match versus Pennsylvania on March 1.
