The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) men’s tennis team is set for a busy stretch, with four matches scheduled over eight days. The Owls will play these contests on the road before returning to host four home matches in Boca Raton.

Their first match will take place against UCF in Orlando at the USTA National Campus on Thursday, February 26, with play beginning at noon. Historically, UCF leads the series 27-7, including a narrow 4-3 win during their last encounter on February 9, 2025.

Next, FAU travels to Tampa for a neutral-site matchup against Pennsylvania on Sunday, March 1. This contest will be held at the University of South Florida campus and starts at 10 a.m. FAU holds a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series with UPenn. The most recent meeting saw FAU secure a close 4-3 victory; UPenn has not defeated FAU since their initial matchup in 2006.

The team then heads to Tulsa, Oklahoma for its first-ever meeting against Tulsa in a non-conference match between two American Conference members. That match is scheduled for March 3 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

FAU’s road trip concludes on Thursday, March 5 with another non-conference contest against Tulane in New Orleans. The Owls tied the all-time series last year with a decisive 6-1 win.

Junior Mark Havlicek leads FAU this season with a dual record of five wins and one loss and was recently named American Conference Player of the Week. Havlicek played an important role in securing points during the team’s latest victory alongside doubles partner Marek Pazdera; together they are ranked No. 82 nationally.

Sophomore Segundo Goity Zapico currently holds a singles record of four wins and one loss primarily playing at court #2. He teams up with junior Simon Myslivec for doubles competition where they have posted three wins and two losses this season.

After completing their road matches, FAU returns home to host Utah State on March 10, Rice on March 13, Old Dominion on March 15, and East Tennessee State on March 18 at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center.
