Florida Atlantic men’s golf to compete in Sam Ryder Intercollegiate in Daytona Beach

Florida Atlantic University’s men’s golf team is set to compete in the Sam Ryder Intercollegiate, which will be hosted by Stetson University starting Monday in Daytona Beach, Florida. The tournament consists of 54 holes, with 36 holes scheduled for Monday and 18 on Tuesday. Both days will begin with a shotgun start at the Hills Course at LPGA International.

Biagio Gagliardi will take the lead position for the Owls this week. The sophomore recently finished with a final round score of 67 at the Gators Invitational two weeks ago and tied for 17th place in Daytona Beach last season. The rest of the lineup includes NaShawn Tyson, Guilherme Grinberg, Louka Morin, and Kaleb Palm. Jack Brugman will participate as an individual competitor.

The Owls are grouped with Stetson, UTEP, and James Madison for Monday’s opening round, which begins at 8:30 a.m.

The Hills Course at LPGA International is a par-72 layout measuring 6,984 yards.

Thirteen teams and eighty individuals are competing in this week’s event. Teams include Stetson, Appalachian State, Baylor, Campbell, Central Arkansas, Columbia, Florida Atlantic, Georgia State, James Madison, Lipscomb, North Dakota State, Rhode Island, Toledo, and UTEP.
