Florida Atlantic University’s men’s golf team will participate in the Seminole Intercollegiate hosted by Florida State University, beginning Sunday, Mar. 14 in Tallahassee. The event is a 54-hole tournament spanning three days and will conclude on Tuesday, with the first round starting at 8:30 a.m.
The tournament is significant for Florida Atlantic as it features a strong field of competitors and provides an opportunity for the team to test its skills against other collegiate programs. Twenty-one teams and 111 individual golfers are set to compete, including schools such as Arkansas State, Ball State, Boston College, Pennsylvania State, and Southern Mississippi.
Florida Atlantic’s lineup will see one change from its previous competition in Daytona Beach two weeks ago. Jack Brugman, who previously played as an individual, will now join the main lineup as a counting score. Freshman Louka Morin will lead from the No. 1 spot, followed by NaShawn Tyson, Biagio Gagliardi, and Guilherme Grinberg.
The event takes place at Seminole Legacy Golf Club on the Florida State University campus. The course is an 18-hole championship layout with a par of 72 and underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2020 by Nicklaus Design. Only one hole from the original design remains; all tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers, greens, and cart paths were updated to create new strategic challenges for players.
Live scoring for the tournament will be available through GolfStat. Fans can also follow updates about Florida Atlantic men’s golf on X and Instagram (@FAUMGolf).
As the Owls continue their spring season against a competitive field in Tallahassee, observers will be watching how changes to their lineup impact performance over three days of play.
