Florida Atlantic men’s golf places 14th at Gator Invitational in Gainesville

Florida Atlantic University’s men’s golf team finished 14th at the Gator Invitational held in Gainesville. The event concluded on Sunday.

Guilherme Grinberg was the top performer for the Owls, tying for 17th place with a score of one under par. Grinberg shot rounds of 73 and 69 on Saturday, then finished with another 69 on Sunday, recording four birdies in his final round.

Biagio Gagliardi delivered a strong performance on Sunday as well, shooting a three-under-par 67. He made six birdies during his round and ended the tournament tied for 62nd place at nine over par.

The University of Florida hosted the tournament and won the team title with a total score of 27 under par, finishing 14 shots ahead of their closest competitor. Auburn’s Jackson Koivun secured medalist honors by finishing nine under par.

Florida Atlantic will next compete at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate hosted by Stetson from March 2 to March 3 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
