Florida Atlantic University’s men’s golf team finished the first day of the UNCW Seahawk Intercollegiate in ninth place out of 15 teams after completing 36 holes on March 30 in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The team’s performance puts them at a total score of +13 as they head into Tuesday’s final round. This event provides an opportunity for players to improve their standings and for the team to climb higher on the leaderboard.

Guilherme Grinberg led Florida Atlantic with rounds of 74 and 71, placing him at +1 and tied for 18th entering the last round. Grinberg made seven birdies during his second round and is currently one shot ahead of teammate Biagio Gagliardi, who recorded scores of 70 and 76. Freshman Louka Morin contributed nine birdies over both rounds and is tied for 38th with a score of +4.

The final round will begin with a shotgun start scheduled for Tuesday at 8:45 a.m., giving all players an equal chance to compete under similar conditions.
