Florida Atlantic University featured rising sophomore Josh Roberts on its “Inside the Owls’ Burrow” program, according to a March 25 announcement. The segment is part of Season 10, Episode 26 and provides an in-depth look at Roberts’ progress with the football team.
Roberts has drawn attention for his performance during his freshman year and for his commitment to learning the game. Florida Atlantic’s Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Zach Kittley praised Roberts for his work ethic and dedication as a student of football.
During the previous season, Roberts played in every game. He recorded a total of 21 tackles, including four tackles for loss amounting to 11 yards. Two of those tackles were credited as sacks. In addition, he made one interception and broke up two passes.
Currently, Roberts and the rest of the Florida Atlantic Owls are participating in spring practice sessions as they prepare for their upcoming showcase event. The team will play in the Friday Night Showcase on April 17 at Howard Schnellenberger Field at Flagler Credit Union. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., with Phil Smith Acura/Kia presenting the event.
