Florida Atlantic University is highlighting its local student-athletes as part of the “Hometown Team” series. The initiative, which covers athletes from the Florida Keys to the Treasure Coast, aims to showcase those who represent their communities while playing for the university.

Nick Romano, a redshirt senior on the Florida Atlantic baseball team, is among those featured in this series. The program is part of a broader effort by Florida Atlantic’s athletics department to engage with and give back to the community.

Since Brian White became Vice President and Director of Athletics at Florida Atlantic, student-athletes have contributed nearly 20,000 hours of community service. This commitment underscores the university’s focus on connecting with its surrounding area.

The “Hometown Team” series is presented by Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort.
