The No. 14 Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team will travel to Jacksonville for the North Florida tournament on March 20 and 21 at the Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex, according to a March 19 announcement.

The event is significant as it brings together several ranked teams, offering Florida Atlantic an opportunity to improve its record against strong competition. The Sandy Owls will face No. 15 Stetson and No. 17 North Florida on Friday, followed by another match against North Florida and a weekend finale versus Saint Leo on Saturday.

Florida Atlantic opens play Friday at 8 a.m. against Stetson, a team that leads their all-time series 16-9. Later that morning, the Owls will play host North Florida at 10 a.m., holding an all-time record of 11-8 against them and having won five of their last six meetings, including a recent victory earlier this season.

On Saturday, the Owls will again meet North Florida at 9 a.m., then close out the tournament with an 11 a.m. match against Saint Leo. The Owls have never lost to Saint Leo in three previous encounters.

Fans can follow updates about the team’s progress by following @FAUBeachVB on X and Instagram or liking FAU Beach Volleyball on Facebook.
