The Florida Atlantic University (FAU) beach volleyball team, ranked 15th nationally, is set to begin its 2026 season by hosting the Beach Burrow Bash at the FAU Beach Volleyball Complex in Boca Raton. The event will take place on Friday, February 23, and Saturday, February 24, featuring matchups against Coastal Carolina, Boise State, Palm Beach Atlantic, and FIU.

The Sandy Owls are coming off a successful 2025 season with a record of 21-15. This marked their fourth season with over 20 wins and included winning their third conference title and second Conference USA (CUSA) Championship.

Two players from Florida Atlantic received CUSA Preseason Team honors: Denisse Morgenstern and Kendall Mignerey.

Florida Atlantic will open play on Friday against Coastal Carolina at noon. The Owls lead the all-time series against the Chanticleers 2-1. The upcoming match will be the first between these teams in Boca Raton. Their most recent meeting resulted in a win for Coastal Carolina on March 24, 2023.

Later on Friday at 4 p.m., FAU faces Boise State. The Sandy Owls have played Boise State once before, earning a victory last season in Fort Worth.

On Saturday at 2 p.m., FAU will compete against Palm Beach Atlantic. The Sandy Owls hold an undefeated record of 8-0 in this matchup. They will finish the weekend by playing CUSA rival FIU at 4 p.m. FIU leads their all-time series with Florida Atlantic by a margin of 19-8; however, FAU has won two of the last three meetings despite losing their most recent contest on March 1, 2025.
