Florida Atlantic University’s baseball team is set to host Villanova in a three-game series this weekend at Boca Raton. The first game is scheduled for Friday at 6:35 p.m., followed by games on Saturday at 4:05 p.m. and Sunday at 12:05 p.m. Fans can stream all games on FAUSports.com.

In their most recent outing, the Owls lost to No. 17 Miami after leading 7-4 through eight innings. Miami scored seven runs in the ninth, resulting in an 11-7 defeat for Florida Atlantic. Kide Adetuyi struck out ten batters over five innings during his second career start, while Kyle Boylston led the offense with three hits as part of a season-high twelve-hit performance for the team. Brett Patten and Marshall Lipsey also contributed multiple hits each, and Eli Small recorded his first hit as an Owl with an RBI double after coming off the bench.

Patrick Ward currently holds a five-game hitting streak for Florida Atlantic. Boylston has tallied four hits across his last two games, including his first career home run against Iowa last Sunday. Starting pitchers James Litman, Tyler Murphy, and Garrett Grant combined for eighteen strikeouts over fourteen innings during the Iowa series.

Villanova arrives with a 2-3 record after splitting two games against Lipscomb in Nashville; their third game was canceled due to weather conditions. Colin Quintano leads Villanova’s offense with five hits, including three home runs and eight RBIs. Last season, Villanova finished with a 6-15 record in Big East conference play.

Historically, Florida Atlantic has won eleven of thirteen matchups against Villanova, with their last meeting occurring in 2007.

After this homestand concludes, Florida Atlantic will travel to Gainesville on March 3 to face No. 10 Florida.
