Senior pitcher Autumn Courtney from the Florida Atlantic softball team has been nominated for the Amateur Athlete of the Year at the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame Award ceremony. The nomination is based on her achievements during the 2025 season.
Courtney, now in her second year with Florida Atlantic, became only the fifth player in program history to be named an All-American. She was recognized as the unanimous American Conference Pitcher of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Conference first team. Her statistics for the season included 172 strikeouts, 24 wins, and a 2.03 earned run average (ERA), all ranking among the top 30 nationally. These performances helped lead Florida Atlantic to its second straight American Conference regular season title and secured their eleventh appearance in NCAA Regionals.
The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 15. Other nominees for Amateur Athlete of the Year include Keiser men’s swimmer Isaiah Aleksenko and Lynn men’s soccer player Dominik N’gaite.
In 2025, Trinity Schlotterbeck, another Florida Atlantic All-American, received this same honor.
