Former Pine Crest School standout Mason Koczwara took the mound for the FIU Golden Panthers on Tuesday, March 10, at 7 p.m., as the team dropped an 11-6 decision to the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles in an NCAA Division I baseball contest.

FIU Baseball Stadium hosted the game, which marked their first meeting against the Coast Eagles this season.

Koczwara pitched 1.2 innings, issued one walk, and struck out two batters.

The Golden Panthers are set to play their next game on Friday, March 13, at 6 p.m. at Nick Denes Field, facing off against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.
