Florida Atlantic University’s men’s basketball team is preparing for two upcoming American Conference games this week. Head Coach John Jakus spoke with the media on Tuesday, addressing the team’s readiness for these matchups.

The Owls, who hold a 14-7 overall record and are 6-2 in conference play, will travel to face Memphis at the FedEx Forum on Thursday, January 29. Memphis currently has a 9-10 record and is 4-3 in conference competition.

Following the game against Memphis, Florida Atlantic will return home to host East Carolina on Sunday, February 1. The matchup at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena will be part of the ‘Coaches vs. Cancer’ initiative.

Coach Jakus discussed preparations for both contests but did not disclose specific strategies during his meeting with reporters.
